🌽 Clear Water, Clear Air, & Fertile Soil for Rural Iowa
The health of Iowa’s air, water, soil, and our very own farmers are being sacrificed by corporations and politicians who answer to lobbyists—not communities. Our farmers are struggling, our rivers are polluted, and our state’s natural legacy is being sold off. I will listen to the farmers who are outstanding in their field (okay, that’s a joke my mom used to tell about my grandpa, who was an Iowa farmer, to be fair).
I’m running to protect Iowa’s land, water, and air for this generation and the next.
Action Plan:
Expand cost-share and incentive programs for cover crops, no-till, buffer strips, wetland restoration, grazing rotation, and other proven conservation practices.
Fund free well testing, nitrate filtration, and safe water upgrades for rural homes and small towns.
Enforce fair nutrient runoff limits to keep our water sources safe.
Oppose CO₂ pipelines and protect farmers from eminent domain abuse and corporate coercion.
Collaborate with organizations led by Iowa farmers and food systems experts.
